We just shipped off this handsome little footstool, hand sculpted in solid Pine, to a client in Manhattan for a rooftop terrace. It was paired with some of our wooden cube tables in a matching finish to create a lovely little set.

This unique pillow was commissioned by an online client in Virginia as a housewarming gift for a close friend. She provided an image of the home to our resident artist, who meticulously hand painted the image onto a custom-sized leather pillow.

This lovely, little leather box is shipping out tomorrow to a client in Colorado who commissioned it as a chic storage container for his CD collection.

We've been at it again with custom work. And this time around we are happy to show off some lovely tables and a new tray.
The Dominguez Stool Table (above) at 21 diameter x 16.5 H inches and the Bosque Stool Table (below) at 14 diameter x 18 H inches are both offered on our website in Margosa wood at smaller sizes. These beautiful custom pieces were turned locally in Pine for a resort in Arizona. We love the rustic, organic look that they took on in this softer American wood.
The custom round wood tray (16 diameter x 2.5 H inches) was constructed from solid walnut in a rich dark chocolate stain for a retailer in New York City. We produced a small quantity for them to sell at their multiple locations throughout Manhattan.

We've got two more custom projects under our belt and this time we kept it local. The handsome bistro table shown below was actually created as a game table for a North Valley family and our Gonzales Stool Table was ordered in a custom RED finish by another shop client.

It doesn't get any more minimal that our latest custom project. We created these simple 18" cube tables in natural Maple veneer for a design firm in Oakland. They were specified, designed, fabricated and shipped in 3 weeks. Not a bad lead-time for bespoke furniture.

We have another great custom project to tell you about. A client in the Hamptons had a beautiful bronze fireplace in her living room and she needed pillows to match. As it turns out, Bronze leather pillows are not that easy to come by, so she turned to Pfeifer Studio.
Starting with our existing Metallic Leather Pillows in gold and silver, we developed a custom bronze leather for her and after several weeks of sampling and tweaking, the pillows were finally delivered. She sent us a message that was simple and sweet: "Bronze pillows look great thank you everyone."

Local Pfeifer shoppers might recognize the inspiration for this custom shelf that we just delivered yesterday. It is a modification of display shelving at the back of our shop. We changed the wood and dimensions and threw on some wheels to make it a perfect fit for a house in Albuquerque.

The end of the year is always a rushed time at Pfeifer Studio. We have been busy with holiday shoppers in our retail studio and also turning out custom designs left and right. This is the best excuse we can come up with as to why we have not posted on our blog in 6 weeks (Yikes!)
We love our custom projects and are always happy when new requests for a one-of-a-kind-this-or-that come in. Below are a few of our favorite projects from the past few months. We hope that you like them as much as we do and we look forward to many more in 2012!
Packed and ready to ship! Our popular Abaidoo Stool Tables were recently created at a custom height (24") and in a custom wood (Pine) for a popular restaurant in Miami.
Our Leather Waste Bin with a leather whip stitch was commissioned by a luxury hotel in London. Ordered at 2 custom sizes, we created a metal liner for the interior which could be easily removed when it is time to empty the rubbish ;).

And last but not least is our beautiful Eco-Friendly Stool Table (and a bad image which does not do it justice) at a custom size (22" diameter x 24" H) in a pure white finish for a client on the Upper West Side.

Custom Crocodile Embossed Leather Pillow - 18 x 31 inches
We get a lot of requests for our leather pillows at custom sizes, but as far as ambitious dimensions go, this one takes the cake. Most often ordered at a mear 9 x 18 inches, we recently produced our Embossed Crocodile Leather Pillow at a whopping 18 x 31 inches for a client in California. They were the perfect size for his space and the result could not have been more biting.

Custom Basket Woven Leather Rug
Another custom project under our belt and you need to know about it! The beautiful leather rug you see above was handwoven at our workshop in India for a client based in Chicago. These images are hot off the press, the rug was just finished last week and is on its way to the states as I write.

Here's another great custom project that we are pleased to tell you about. A client came into our Albuquerque showroom on a mission...for pillows. With a little help, we created a collection of 6 original one-of-a-kind pillows from a vintage Hmong textile from Vietnam.
Each pillow has a unique pattern and the sizes were dictated by the dimensions of the textile itself. Throw on a linen back and throw in a feather-and-down insert and the Pfeifer look was complete.
Some of you may remember seeing the beautiful textile below from our showroom or in our One-Of-A-Finds category online. If you ever see anything on our website that you would like to have turned into something else, produced at a unique size or in a custom material. Look no further than Pfeifer Studio. We are the source for custom.
