Our brand new traditional dining table, inspired by Spanish Colonial antiques found throughout Northern New Mexico, is handmade-to-order by artisans in the state, who come from a tradition of Hispanic furniture making.
It is constructed with mortis and tenon joinery and has a traditional hand carved pattern on the base stretchers. The table is available in multiple wood finishes and comfortably seats six.

Rustic Spanish Farm Table - 36 x 84 x 30 H inches - $1699.00
This beautiful dining table, inspired by an 18th Century Spanish Colonial antique, is handmade-to-order by artisans in New Mexico, who come from a tradition of Hispanic furniture making in the state. It is constructed with mortis and tenon joinery and has a textured surface which is hand-hewn with a draw knife. The table is available in multiple wood stains and is finished with a weathered lime wash. The 84" table seats six, the 94" table seats eight and the 108" table seats ten. We are loving our new solar kiln. It is version 2.0 with more than double the harvesting capacity of our earlier models. As you can see, we have another day with not a cloud in the sky here in New Mexico. It is time to cook some tables!

We've been at it again with custom work. And this time around we are happy to show off some lovely tables and a new tray.
The Dominguez Stool Table (above) at 21 diameter x 16.5 H inches and the Bosque Stool Table (below) at 14 diameter x 18 H inches are both offered on our website in Margosa wood at smaller sizes. These beautiful custom pieces were turned locally in Pine for a resort in Arizona. We love the rustic, organic look that they took on in this softer American wood.

The custom round wood tray (16 diameter x 2.5 H inches) was constructed from solid walnut in a rich dark chocolate stain for a retailer in New York City. We produced a small quantity for them to sell at their multiple locations throughout Manhattan.

We are back from a little down time from blogging over the past month and excited that our first post is about yet more new designs. Our Oxidized Steel Dining Table is actually quite an older design for us, which is finally getting a permanent spot in the online collection. The Solid Pine End Table is a larger version of our best selling Solid Pine Cube Table. We did not only make it bigger, but also debuted a new Golden Pecan finish on it, which turned out lovely. We hope that you love them both!

Oxidized Steel Dining Table - 36 x 60 x 30 h inches - $1599
This unique dining table, inspired by a 19th Century French antique, is constructed from solid steel. The oxidized finish is creating by treating it with a rusting agent and then spraying repeatedly with water, a process that can take several days. It is then wiped with a dark brown stain and sealed with a clear lacquer for protection.



Solid Pine End Table - 22 x 22 x 23 H inches - $639
Our massive Solid Pine End Table is made in the USA from timber harvested in the mountains of New Mexico. The textured finish on the surface is created by hand, using an adz tool to shape a pattern on the wood. This design is made-to-order and usually ships within 6 weeks. It is too large to send with Fedex Ground and will arrive with a freight carrier at an additional charge.

We've got two more custom projects under our belt and this time we kept it local. The handsome bistro table shown below was actually created as a game table for a North Valley family and our Gonzales Stool Table was ordered in a custom RED finish by another shop client.

We made this custom wood table several years ago and have featured it ever since in our custom design section. Clients always request it, and we have made many more over the years. We decided that it was about time to offer it with our standard collection.
Now available online at a 24 or 36 inch diameter, these beautiful table are turned on a lathe from locally harvested wood and dried in a solar kiln. A smaller side table size is now in production and will debuting online soon, so please look out for it in the coming weeks.

Two more new designs rolled out today and both are made from reclaimed wood. The unique cube table ($619 + Free Delivery) above is created from solid Oak cut from a beam taken from a 19th Century Fish Hatchery in Illinois. When the building was recently demolished and the components were sold, we snatched up the ceiling support beams to create these wonderful, earth-friendly tables.
Not to be out done, our new set of 8 Cedar Wood Coasters ($45 + Free Delivery) below have a live edge and are created from slices of solid cedar wood rescued from fallen limbs in the forests of Northern new Mexico. They have been treated with a with a protective lacquer topcoat and each and every one is completely unique.

Fresh out of the oven is a hot batch of new Cedar Slice Coasters made from locally harvested wood. They debuted in the shop today and will be available online very soon.

It doesn't get any more minimal that our latest custom project. We created these simple 18" cube tables in natural Maple veneer for a design firm in Oakland. They were specified, designed, fabricated and shipped in 3 weeks. Not a bad lead-time for bespoke furniture.

Local Pfeifer shoppers might recognize the inspiration for this custom shelf that we just delivered yesterday. It is a modification of display shelving at the back of our shop. We changed the wood and dimensions and threw on some wheels to make it a perfect fit for a house in Albuquerque.

We've been busy. Drawing, tweaking, developing, sanding, staining, rusting, you name it. Products have been in development and it is now time for the big debut.
We often add new styles to the website, but lately we have been on a whirlwind to say the least. Check out the latest additions to our collection below.
The Elm Wood Bench Table and Serving Tray above are made here in New Mexico from solid wood. Chinese Elm Trees were first planted in Albuquerque in the early 20th Century. They eventually spread into the bosque (woodlands along the Rio Grande River) where they are pushing out native species, such as Cottonwoods, altering this delicate eco-system. Elms are now being removed in an effort to help restore the bosque and we are snatching them up to make these elegant, contemporary designs.
The beautiful Goya End Table at a large 18" diameter is turned from a solid block of Margosa wood and is perfect as a monumental side table or as a sculptural stool.

And now for the waste bins...our charcoal gray paper waste bin is handmade by artisans in Japan from durable, double walled paper and the classic waste bin above is constructed from a durable shaped board frame and then covered with embossed goat leather.
It features top stitching along the seams and a wipeable brown painted interior. It is finished with antiqued brass grommets. The handwork of the artisan is visible in every detail.
The Lorenzo and Rebekah tables are handmade in New Mexico, USA using traditional wood beam construction found in adobe homes, while the contrasting wood finishes and minimal lines update them with a modern twist.

This enticing pillow in white Mongolian Lamb has a silky fabric back and closes with a zipper hidden along the seam of one edge, leaving only a sleek pull visible.
We love dark brown and black when mixed together and the elegant Montgomery Side Table represents the contrast beautifully. The top surface is covered in durable chocolate brown leather and the base is constructed in solid Margosa wood with an Ebony finish.
This minimalist tray is formed from solid steel with an oxidized finished. It is treated with a clear lacquer for protection and features felts pads on the base.

And we'll wrap it up with a personal favorite, the Steer Skull Pillow in linen with an embossed leather steer skull appliqué. This handsome pillow has a matching linen back and is available in black or bone colored leather.
