What's more, the thick wooden vine used to weave it is extremely durable and ready to stand the test of time.

It has a sculptural quality that we love and the interlacing weaving pattern really gives it a handmade feel. The weaving process is time intensive and it can take up to a week to weave each waste bin. The vines are collected when they are not producing, from late fall to early spring and hung to dry in a cool, dark place. They are then soaked overnight in lukewarm water prior to weaving.
