Margaret writes: I received my order today & the two West 76th Street Side Tables are perfect and they were packed so well....so now I have a question on the black cowhide table lamps to go on the tables.

I cannot tell from the photo if it is just the shade that is black cowhide?..or is the square lamp base and stem up to the shade wrapped in black cowhide as well?

Also, when you say the lighting is tested in a UL equivalent agency...are these lamps manufactured in India as well?...does it require any special bulb other then a candelabra bulb?...is it a 120V 60w? Also could you tell me the length color of the cord.

Pfeifer says: We are delighted that you are pleased with the tables. The entire lamp and shade are in cowhide. The lamps are manufactured in India and tested by an agency that is not owned by UL, but tests to the same standards. The bulb is 120V 60w. The cord is black with an in-line switch and measures approximately 6 feet. We love the lamps and think that they would make a great match to the tables.
